Success - Pregnant thanks to ED

0 Recommendations

Hi Ladies,

At the beginning of this year I was told my eggs were hopeless, no good. I thought after 7 years of trying for a second child it was all over, well I just wanted to reassure those of you trying there is still hope.

Thanks to an egg donor I have just been informed I am finally pregnant, i can't believe after so long that I am finally able to say this.

Everyone knows this is thanks to IVF and I am proud of that, as we go through so much more for our family and it is true commitment but only a small handful of friends know about the ED, my family will not know so there it be no reason for this baby to be treated any differently.

So if you are embarking on ED good luck, feel confident because it worked first time for me.

Congratulations.

And there is no reason for anyone other than you and DH to know that your child is anything other than that... YOUR child.

Thanks for posting. We're right in the middle of a DE cycle. One of the reasons I was able to move on so quickly was that I heard so many success stories and so much positive feedback from the women who were doing DE cycles.

Fingers crossed, it will work and we'll have a baby (or two) by next summer.

Kylie I've been wondering how you were doing!

Congratulations!! So very happy for you and DH!

Thank you all for your support, now comes the long 12 week wait. Our fingers and legs are crossed, this has to be it!!!

Thanks for posting, and congratulations! Wishing you a healthy & happy 9 months!

I am in the same place! I have an 8 year old daughter - and secondary infert - 3 mc - 3 ivfs - and then on the 3rd! ED cycle am 15 weeks pg. 1st donor under stim - 2nd donor hyper - 3rd 7 5 day blasts. I have found myself surprisingly blue - now that i'm pg i have grief over reality of not having another bio child and over complications with ED. i thought i was really clear about it now that it is real i'm less clear. Want to tell my family but don't know that i will get there support.
How did you make your descisions - you seem clear and happy - i'm longing to get there.

I must admit, I feel guilty, I look at pics of mothers with their kids, looking the same and it erks me and then I think of how wonderful it will be for my big girl. The Ed was someone I met and she rings weekly and this makes mr feel guilty again, I worry what she will say to people, I worry about her being involed, honestly I would prefer she and her family were not but that isn't nice after what she did for us. I hope that it all goes well and they don't do anything to make mr resent my decision to use de. So I am extremely protective of our unborn baby, more than my natural, time will only tell now. Congratulation and goodluck. X Kye
