WE NEED A MIRACLE NOW !!!!! UPDATE 7/30/09

My wonderful, smart, compassionate baby girl, lost all the hope and I am trying to tall her please don’t give up…you have small children (6 year old boy and 4 year girl– today ) they need you, I need you, your husband needs you …PLEASE be strong ... Yes we need a miracle NOW…

November 5th 2008, she was diagnosed with “ovarian cancer stage III-C” It started in her fallopian tubes. Same day she had a hysterectomy, her spleen, appendix and some lymph nodes removed, the tail of her pancreas and some kind of fatty tissue that I guess covers your stomach.
After recovering at home from major surgery for 4 weeks, she started her first of six rounds of chemo on December 4. 2008, She was on Taxol ,Carboplatin and Avastin. Her lest chemo was on March 19, 2009. However that did not work for her, She was newer in remission , her cancer was still spreading. She was treated in one of better hospitals also teaching hospital Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL ...
...Sadly… on May 20, 2009 she had additional surgery…because she was not able to eat anything for 3 weeks , everything made her nauseated and ill ,she could not swallow and was in abdominal pain . Many days she was only drinking water and some milk or fruit punch…that also started bothering her and her Dr. told her to come in for a CT-scan…but she (Dr.) did not see anything going on so she told us it’s possible blockage or scar tissue from privies surgery…..long story short she went in for laparoscopy surgery her Dr. recommended, that turned out to be major over 7 hours surgery…they removed all of her small intestine… Her bladder was oversewn due to tumor covering the surface of the bladder too …and then colostomy placement, that was worse than cancer for Seka…. there was still more cancer left on her large intestine ……(my personal opinion)…her Dr. did not pay complete attention to her complains…

Since, we have found new doctor and different hospital. It is smaller hospital but this doctor is giving her some hope , she did not have that with her original Dr. She is on and Cisplatin /Gemzar chemo treatment ...Last CT-scan… her tumor is in her liver also, and her stomach too… she is going back to the hospital sometimes this week to have her port changed to something more permanent, with one she have now nurse have to change needle once a week, don’t understand. I just don’t know how come they did not placed this one first time…couple of weeks back ??? her liver is also not functioning correctly and I don’t know what is plain for that.. .I am in the fog.

I hate and I am so sorry to give you all this hirable information, because I know everyone is different and react differently to treatments. Thank you for reading this long story, however this is only place I can say what we are going through. I know many of you have gone or are going trough same or similar situations and I believe there is so many good people on this site!!

My daughter is in the hospital again, today( 07/30 /09 ) she is having one more surgery that would be a number 6 in last 10 months . They have to replace stent in her liver, it is not working correctly, (or at all) There is more cancer spots on her long and stomach too, she is not able to eat or drink again, it makes her nauseas and she vomits as soon as she put something in her mouth, also she is very tired all the time…I don’t know how much longer her body can take all this, I don’t think she is even 100 pounds at 5”4’ ( her normal is 135) I need some good news soon….
