Seka (that is my daughters nick name) have been fighting this horrible disease as of November 5th 2008 Diagnosed with fallopian tube III-C very rare cancer…“serous ovarian cancer stage III-C” same day she went trough extended surgery.
She was on Taxol / Carbo (+ Avastin 4 out of 6 treatments…) All that did not do anything for her she was newer in remission … Treatment was manageable…she lost her hair but did very well with not being too sick with this chemo, mentally and physically. She was working out doing yoga and then… pain started coming back…she could not eat for 3 weeks without being nauseated and vomiting and very worn-out also.
And still, We did walk for NOCC on May 2, 2009 - Break the Silence Walk in Chicago, IL
May 16,2009 – Bridge walk for the Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva ILL.
May 20,2009- she was admitted again for the laparoscopy surgery that turned out to be another 7 hours in the operating room. This time Stage III-C Metastatic Fallopian tube cancer the spread from the original tumor to other parts of the body by means of tiny clumps of cells transported by the blood or lymph ... a malignant tumor that has developed in the body as a result of the spread of cancer cells from the original tumor and it was her entire small intestinal that was removed. Her bladder was oversewn due to tumor covering the surface of the bladder too …and then colostomy placement, that was worse than cancer to her….after last CT-scan her tumor is in her liver also, not good.
She started with Cisplatinum last week and is going back tomorrow for the second treatment… Let’s hope this works!!!
