Geez,
When I read the heading of this thread-2 steps forward and ten steps back, it made me remember the way my husband was at two years post-E. Just the same as you are now. Since then, he has leveled out some and we are in year 7-post E. He still has steps forward and back but I think we have become accustomed to them now and the steps don't seem as large as they once was.

I guess what I am trying to say is, time will tell if your health is going to get better and time will also help you become adjusted to the symptoms that E has left you.

Also, I suggest you tell a physician about your symptoms. There are medicines on the market that can help you manage your symptoms.

I hope this will be of some help.

Blessings to you

I keep my medical journal so I can see what helps & what doesn't. I use excel to see what happens when bad things happen so I can hopefully find ways to help myself. Unfortunately I didn't start that until 3 years or so after, but it's really helped. I'm having a back time now, but because I've kept track I am able to go to the doctor with some idea what's going on like Kim mentions.

I hope you can find some help.

Michelle

Take ONE step forward...

My E was in 1981, and there are times when many of the symptoms come back. In fact I'm going through that right now. Then they get better again, till the next time.

thnaks, i feel like i don't what triggers these back tracks. i am going to start the journal since i forget from one time to the next. thank uou for the support

My medical journal has really helped. I enter it originally in word then put things that are different in the title. I have many things I haven't figured out, but the journal has help with an amount that makes the time worth it. I hope it works for you as well.

Here I was thinking that it is just about over for my daughter. I wrote only a few days ago about her getting better and I was so excited. She is still doing well, she has just had nasty withdrawals from the 1st reducded dose of her medication.
Anyway, enough of me! I really do hope that you are just going through a little slump and it will be over soon. I agree with the journals. I can see how it can be very helpful with remembering things and putting things into perspective. It will remind you of the good times and the bad and what you have come through.
Stay strong and positive. I know words are easy to say but remind yourself, you recovered before and you will again be feeling better! Keep telling yourself that you went through the worst nightmare and you survived! You are a fighter!
Take care
