It is with sorrow that I share the news that Ruth Fell has passed away. I have shared with her family a brief video of Ruth's sharing with the encephalitis community.
Wendy, thank you for letting me know. I was worried something was up when we didn't hear anything following her surgery. Do you know what happened?

You know Wendy,
It was the existence of Your Site, Ingrid's Site, and Daniel's Site that gave Ruth a chance to live at peace with who she was. She had a real ball the last ten years with her machine and then her teeth, and then those design classes.
You all should feel good that you did something so special for a special little lady who had so many very difficult years.
Anytime I see anyone holding a violin, I always get an image of Ruth, her violin in hand and Max at her side.
Ruth is probably the most special person I have ever known. I am so glad her niece let us know of her passing. For all of the conferences we went to, she was my roommate. I will miss her so much. At this year's conference we should have a little memorial for her and show the video Wendy put together.
I am so sorry to hear this. I am so glad Kim and I had the chance to meet Ruth at the Faces conference in Phila. Ruth is a very lovely lady.

Ingrid / Wendy....I am truly sorry about Ruth. I know I never had a chance to meet her, but I read the things everyone said about her, and even watched the video on You Tube. It was so sad, I even cried, even though I didnt know her. My heart goes to her family and to everyone here.
dannon, what you said was so beautiful and so true, Ruth was an amazing woman. I always felt inspired by the things she was doing, I'll truly miss her.
I remember enjoying Ruth's company, and I remember taking Max out to do his business, and then I remember Max nearly ripping my arm from the socket to get back to Ruth's side.
Gosh, I remember arguing with the Marriott staff about Max being able to stay! (Of course Wendy had to argue with the staff from the day I arrived to let me stay).
I remember a bunch of us (I know Ingrid was there) going up the street to Walgreen's, and both Ruth and Jacqueline were in wheelchairs, and I was pushing one of them and tried to cross the street like I was still in "Mayberry".
I remember a lot of laughter, and some tears!
None of the tears were shed by Ruth! She was a woman of true substance! In spite of all her challenges in life she kept reaching for more!
I'll always remember Ruth! And Max! Hopefully they're together playing in a field of clover!
