This is basically what my relationship with the Zoster Family feels like right now....

Last year, around this time mind you (September 22nd to be exact) I was hospitalized for a week with what appeared to be Herpe's E. The DNA test was negative but I responded to Acyclovir....

And this past week my hubby was in overnight at a local hospital getting worked up for chest pain, breathing issues, heart problems (he was fine, just some pain and tehy were cautious)... Only to discover a nasty little zoster rash on his back, side and chest (left side)... And was diagnosed with Shingles!!!

Feels like we have this virus gunning for us!!!! ;)

What is a Zoster rash?

"Zoster" is the family of virus including herpes and chicken pox (also known as shingles in adults).... So my hubby has a rash of blisters, similar to herpes, running from his back to his chest on the left side.... And though the herpes test came back negative for my E last year, I responded to acyclovir and here I am today....

Nasty little family of viruses that hang out in the nervous system until the opportune moment... Then they come back out of hiding so to speak and wreak havoc!!!
