With iVisit you type chat, speak chat, and can see each other (if you're using a webcam). Webcam is NOT mandatory.
iVisit is free to download and use. I'm on their volunteer staff.
Download and install the software:
> PC user: http://ivisit.com/media/iVisit375.exe
>Mac OSX user: http://ivisit.com/media/iVisit372.pkg.zip
Run iVisit by clicking the iVisit Globe icon on your desktop
Register by clicking "Account" and then selecting "Register" in the login box.
Activate Account by following the instructions in the E - mail reply you receive
(Here you will select your permanent nickname and changeable password)
Logon and begin your iVisit adventure!

I think we should consider this to be a perpetual post.

We *did* get together for a group chat a year a or two ago. It was good. I remember seeing Hen, Dannon, Wendy and a couple others there. I felt more connected.

I downloaded the site, but with my internet problem it doesn't seem to work all the time, but hopefully I'll have that fixed soon so I can chat.

It's my Internet because it keeps cutting out after a few minutes so when I figure out how to get the router to work it will probably let me try to figure out Ivisit.
It downloaded, but then it gave me a hard time when I tried to figure out how to log in. My night care giver told me that it's because the internet keeps cutting out during the day since she can use it at night.

It will once someone figures out how to set up the router. I have no idea how to do that and my friend says I might have been told to get the wrong thing so I need to see if someone can tell me.
If I sit where the phone lines are for long my legs go numb. My step dad would take care of something like this usually, but he doesn't understand computers any more than I do. I'm sure someone will figure it out it's just going to take time.
