Damage to nerve ending in eyes

0 Recommendations

Hello to you all, my name is sam, and I was wonding if any of you share similar symptoms or have any info on eye bluriness, and with me coupled with social anxiety. I read that the virus can cause nerve ending damage cuasing bluriness, and other eye issues. The site I read suggests going to see a opthamology department for treatment. I personally have tension in my eyes, with pain surrounding them, coupled with bluriness, my eye sight coming and going, and some other weird stuff like that. Any assistance in this area would be greatly appriciated. It is good to see much activity in this support community.

Anxiety Pain Encephalitis Floaters

Hi Sam, I suffered loss of peripheral vision in both eyes which meant I had to have a serious of tests. this included tests for my drving licence to assure them I could still drive. I also suffer what they call 'floaters' in front of my eyes. As time has gone on these have lessened but still come back with a vengeance if I'm tired or stressed. I now have to wear spectacles for reading, computer, etc. as my eye sight deteriorated as a result of the Enceph.

I didnt get much help from the oph here in az. He did all the normal testing and all looked fine to him and then did the field test of four minutes and then they charged me $85. Which I supposively passed! I dont see good through my right eye with the same experiences you have and i cant make new glasses since they say its a brain problem. The neuro did say there was something slightly slanted in the inside of the eye but didnt make a big deal about it. The big deal to me is that I dont trust myself driving and had to give it up. Because I feel that other than floaters my sight blanks out for a second.

I find this interesting as I was not aware encephalitis could cause this kind of issue. I have noticed in some instances, text is starting to become blurry and actually commented to a friend about it just a couple days ago. Within the last few weeks I've noticed an increased number of spots that momentarily appear in my vision and my peripheral vision really seems to be acting up a lot lately. I keep seeing what I think are spiders just out of my direct focus, and of course, when I look dead on at the spot, nothing is there.

I developed double vision and blurry vision initially, then floaters, then blurry vision that comes and goes with double at times, I also have developed cataracts. They can't correct my vision in my right eye with glasses, so I don't bother filling the prescription which I'd have to pay out of pocket.

I get blurry vision and sometimes the black floaters. I also see what looks like white lightening sometimes when I close my eyes and there isn't any thing that could cause it.

Michelle
