I have this website bookmarked and I think we all should keep it handy. It has a lot of good information on brain injury, support groups, symptoms, etc. Please go visit:

Ingrid, thanks for posting this - I've bookmarked it for my reference files.
Ingrid,
Thanks for the "link" but here in Colorado when I tried that site it had a "connection" to the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. Despite the fact that I'm a member, I've discovered that they only fund "help" for persons with "traumatic brain injuries" and that encephalitis survivors "do not qualify".
I quess maybe here in Denver, there aren't "enough" of us OR that we're TOO QUIET !!! to "merit consideration". I've discovered a GREAT DEAL OF IGNORANCE that exists here at "social services" and other "beaurocratic entities" regarding "organic brain disorder" ( a "new" euphamism for survivors of encephalitis or other diseases that cause "brain damage" -- the older and much "simpler" term for what is our major "challenge" in life).
I'm "unfortunately" STILL "new" as far as understanding the internet and "accessing" information that may lead me to "sites" that could provide me with some "basic assistance" (for example --- helping me with "learning the computer").
I remain patient, and keep on "learn by practicing" even though my "computer system" is older and a "bit behind the times as I am".
Peace & Love, Jane
