Hello all, can you help me with some information please? Can any of you tell me if anyone knows what happened to a very lovely lady called Linda Criscoulo (I think that is how the surname was spelt?) She was from New York and was such a brave lady?

Secondly can anyone tell me if since their encephalitic illness survivors have found that their muscles swell or/and are painful? Can any of you also tell me if you have found that the muscles are weaker since your encephalitic illness? Do the elbows, hands, knees, and feet give any particular problems.

Also can anyone tell me about the problems concerning fatigue?

I am trying to collect this information to take to York University. I have found that these very issues are rarely mentioned in any literature regarding encephalitis or post viral encephalitic conditions?

You all know my e-mail address but for those who do not here it is again. jackblennim@yahoo.co.uk

Remember that I have not forgotten any of you. I remember Wesley, and the young lady who was studying at college. I also remember the very brave wife who experienced fits following WNV and who had the most supporting of husbands. I also remember how little support he received. I can remember he said to one official, "Drop in and see us some time. You can join us for a cup of coffee and a seizure or two?" I also remember Gustav and the wonderful and sadly missed Ruth.

I do think of you all. I do try to support as best I can...I am also trying to make a difference in some way just as I promised.

Jack.

Ingrid you have NO idea how happy this makes me. I've been sending e-mail for months with no response, but that e-mail is messed up. Jack had been sick so I was really concerned when Rose hadn't responded like she normally does.

I hope that Daniel sees that because I know he's worried as well.

THANKS for posting this.

Im new here so I dont know those people but I can tell you about my symtoms.

Fatigue is major symtom,, with that comes disorientation and more numbness in the most affected side of my body the right side. Im more off balanced with it and have to lay down. I sometimes get a sick feeling with the fatigue and pressure in my brain and sometimes headache and eye pain.

I have been getting joint pains and had it checked out the RA factor now keeps coming high but the rhuemotologist says its not rheumotological and the neuro says it is,, who to believe I dont know! But the aches and pains are there and more now when it gets cold.

Since E these things have been happening. Hope this helps.

My nurse prac sent me to a podiatrist who said I have arthritis. The doctors don't like to think that with my age I am having all these things that older people get. Plus E changes the way things are so it's hard to tell what is E and what is something else.

The podiatrist said that cold and moisture hurting my joints is a "good" sign that it's arthritis even with my age. I can have a pretty good idea when it's actually going to rain because of my arthritis so at least that's good.

I have thought about that michelle but then I remember that all this started happening after E and I didnt have this before E. The only thing i did have before E was fatigue and neck and shoulder pain which was atributed to fibro,, but now I doubt fibro have a lesion in the medulla.

I didn't have the major pain like I do now before E, but I sure have it now. My podiatrist thinks that it's a big part because E changes the way my brain processes things and the vitamins might not be processing like they used to. I didn't have a thyroid problem until after E and from what my journal says it's from as long as I've been doing the medical journal.

My podiatrist isn't a nuero so he doesn't say too much, but he is epileptic so he might have some idea.

I just hope you find something to help you.

your memory fog sounds worse then mines does. But to the point Im in worries me at a later age what am I gonna be like and is my joint problems going to keep me from moving Im allready not moving as much as I would like.

My joint pain is really bad today because we are having a really good rainy season. I don't worry about getting older because most of the older people I know can't believe they are the age their birth certificate says.

I just try to remember that when I have pain it's my bodies way of telling me somethings wrong so when the pain gets bad I check to see if I'm doing something I can change.

Hopefully we're both around to wonder how our birth certificate lies about our age.

Michelle

Im wonder if E will trigger alziemers..
