Med students, I hate them

Last Thursday Jake had an appt. with his surgeon(5 weeks out of post op) to discuss his Mickeybutton placement. Instead of his surgeon coming in first a Med student came in. He went to pull up my son's shirt and he wasn't to careful, he ended up pulling on his cecostomy tube. On the way home(we live 2 1/2 hours away) my son told me that the dr. hurt him and there was blood on his tube. I didn't that he could have pulled that hard, I was wrong.
The next day he was still in pain. At about 9Pm he was burning up and doubled over in pain. I took him to our local ER. No one there knew what a cecostomy was, or where the tube was supposed to be attached. Of course I did my little fill in the dr. He did a CT scan and found the tube in his abdominal wall instead of in his cecum. So, he had a nice helicopter ride to Sutter Memoial in Sacramento, CA. That is where his surgeon, that we have seen for 12 yrs. is. Luckily, they were able to replace the tube without reopening him. he spent the next 4 days having antibiotics pumped into him.
I realize that it is a teaching hospital, but I made it clear I only want his surgeon to touch him. His surgeon has assured me that something is being done with the med student.
