Pregnant and need to loose weight

0 Recommendations

Hey I am a 27 year old female! Ever since Sept 08 I have made the choice to loose weight and get healthy! I also said I want to have children one day but I want to be at a healthy weight because I want to be able to play and chase my children along with you gain weight naturally while carrying! So I have lost a total of 40 pounds since September 08. Well low and behold I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant! With an EDD 9/17/2009. I am excited!!! I know that I am able to continue exercising at the gym! OB said to just like do the treadmill and walk also swimming is good for me also! SO I was just wondering if there is any other soon to be mommies in the same boat! Well anyways you take care and have a safe and wonderful day/nite!

i have always been told that you are not supposed to try to lose weight while pregnant.

you can still exercise in a low impact way, and be healthy thats awesome.

i would step up your calories by about 500 in a healthy way of course. but you need your energy.

congrats on your great news!

I was 27 when I had my daughter too, congratulations!!! I too was in the same situation and had lost about 40 lbs before I found out I was pregnant with her. I walked every single day until I had her, I even did pre-natal yoga(wonderful). You won't lose anymore weight because the baby will be taking on most of the weight. You will be nice and toned though. My only advice will be to keep it up after you give birth. I didn't, my mother in law guilted me for taking her out in the "air". She's very old school in her thinking. I wish you the best of luck on your new journey... By the way, your labor will be so much easier if you are in shape. Your body can handle it much more easily.
