Way to go Yankees!

Okay. I'm done. for now. on that topic.

Good morning people! Did you remember to set your clocks back? Anyone live in Tucson where they never do that? Checked your smoke and co2 detectors yet for their batteries and function? now's the time.

And as for our cozy little group, I've been missing YoAlice and Waterrat? Hey sisters, how are you?

I can't tell you how helpful this group has been. Okay, I CAN: VERY, EXTREMELY, CRITICALLY, CRUCIALLY!

My goal for the day:
Plan meals and Journal (missed 2 days and haven't been very satisfied with my meals which left me feeling hungry and blech)

That's about it!

I did get my swim gear together as I noted earlier today and I have to figure out that exercise watch.

Since we all had PIZZA ATTACKS last week, here's an inspired recipe: 4 PTS PIZZA

Pizza Margherita
Serves 8 from WW magazine

1 13.8 oz can refrigerated pizza crust
2 tsp. olive oil
2/3 c. low-fat pizza sauce
1/2 c. shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
3 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 c fresh small basil leaves
2 tbsp shaved parmesan cheese

They made this 'grilled' but if you're not grilling outside any more for obvious reasons, try this in the oven>

Unroll the crust on a sheet of non-stick foil and firmly press into a 9x13 " rectangle. Brush the crust with the oil. Invert it onto a non-stick cookie sheet. Bake until surface is golden about 4 min.

Flip the crust. Spread it with the sauce; then top evently with the mozzarella, tomatoes, and pepper.

Bake until cheese melts and crust is golden.

Transfer to cutting board, sprinkle with basil and Parmesan and cut into 8 pieces.

Another bit of inspired wisdom from WW: Connie Courter of New Jersey was 284 lbs and is now 172 lbs through WW meetings. She says, "I've never given myself a deadline for reaching goal. That way I never set myself up for disappointment. When I get there, I get there."

You'll get there!

Good Point KickButt: Where are our MIA's today. I miss their postings.

The pizza recipe is awesome. I'm definitely going to give that a whirl. The story makes a great point.

I seem to be ultra motivated and want to lose weight for the Holiday season and then really - really - really Kick some Butt after the 1st of January.

I am going to journal this whole week and not miss an activity or morsel of food.

Here we go.

Hiker.

Howdy everybody! I need an afternoon pick me up!

Think I'll hunker down with my journal and write up my meals for today. Had a very nice lunch: homemade curry beets and potato salad with veggie chicken chunks and salad greens. Breakfast was grits with sliced golden delicious apples, one veggie sausage and cafe con leche (fat free half n' half).

Am in great need of a nap! What do you do when your work and your culture doesn't include NAPS! In Taiwan where I once lived, everyone takes a nap after lunch for half an hour at their desks. They make some fresh tea and set it aside in a cup with a lid, heat up a wash-rag (just put it in hot water using the sink, wring it out) and place it on their eyes, forehead, wrists. Then they nap with their heads on their desks. When they wake up they use the hot wash rag again and drink tea.

Isn't that civilized? Why can't we do that? :)

I guess no one is stopping me!

PIZZA RECIPE EXCHANGE IS IN EFFECT. Please send your best pizza recipes and try to make them light(er) so when you have a pizza attack, you can make one yourself and not worry.

I think using whole wheat flour is best and I've made pizza-ettes using whole-wheet tortillas or wraps, fat free mozorella (by Poly-o) and plain tomato sauce that I add my own seasonings to.

Good afternoon -

Another week off and running - way to go -

I posted a chalange this morning - (HOW FAR CAN WE GO) - come join us we are tracking our distance for fittness - No moterized vehicles allowed - hahaha -

My today has gotten all messed up so far - I did get into the criopractor sp. this am - He assured me I had a very safe shoulder and neck (they are all locked up) - hahaha - Oh well so what else is new - No workout for today - go to water arobics just be aware of over doing with shoulder - back to Criopractor sp. on Wednesday - Dr. doesn't think it's so much from overdoing as much as I might be dealing with lots of stress - WHAT STRESS - So I can still watch what I'm eating - I have been extremely good today with the fluids - 4 glasses already - Woopy I know but it's the little things that count - right -

Later - Ruth

Yesiree bob Ruth you are absolutely right. I try to drink 8 gulps of water from the fountain after every time I go the lady's room! And one glass before every meal. Fills me up and it seems to be working because I lost weight again this week. Stop that! What? Yes, lost again! yey!

Are you taking time to relax, close your eyes and listen to some quiet music?

where is your challenge posted? was it on another thread?

HOW FAR CAN WE GO

under National body challange - - - Discussions -

I did notice that is the only one it posted under - not womens health and fittness health - I figured out later when I do a discussion it only post under one group heading but if I were to do it as a journel entry it will go under all three - I didn't want to muddie the waters so left alone for today - Tomorrow I will post under journeling and it shoud show up on all 3 - I think -

Ruth

Great. I'll check it out!

Hey gang!

I didn't exercise this weekend (rain melted all the snow Friday night so no skiing and I got too busy getting ready for Halloween, and the month-long deer season started yesterday and I've been shot at out there before, so not doing that again), but I did survive trick-or-treating fairly well. Tonite is walk nite and then spaghetti (marinara sauce) on whole wheat noodles.

I think I have the same pizza recipe - and I found meatless Italian Sausage in the freezer section the other day and am wondering how it would taste on pizza... I may try it sometime.

Donna

Yum! What brand is that? I'd love to try it. Has anyone done a pizza for Thanksgiving! Just a thought! :)

I can't imagine this being low points or even good for you but here is an actual Thanksgiving Pizza recipe:

http://www.recipezaar.com/Thanksgiving-Pizza-265701

If you substitute the high calorie ingredients for low calorie ones and veggie turkey and veggie sausage, this might really be a fun left-overs type Thanksgiving weekend meal!

Do you want to laugh? You have got to check this out! The Onion has a great pic of Thanksgiving Pizza:

http://www.theonion.com/content/node/35930

God bless 'em over at The Onion!

Thank's Kick Butt -

The picture worked - I Can't imagine eating turkey day pizza - but then I can't stand looking or smelling the pinnapple and canadian pizza either - hahaha - Hopefully the fix will stay with me for awhile -

Ruth

just for laughs! nighty night!
