Chronic Nausea, is a common problem with people battling a chronic illness and pain.
People with Fibromyalgia can suffer from IBS, GERDS, Hypersensitive ( HSP) issues, which can and does lead to chronic nauseas. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, can also cause chronic nausea caused by a viral infection that will no go away, food and environmental allergies, spending to much time in bed and not enough exercise. It can also be caused by low-blood pressure, hyperglycemia, from not getting enough vital nutrients , or eat on a regular schedule, and medication.
Acute gastroenteritis is a common cause of chronic nausea. Candida yeast infections,
bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens cause this illness which is characterized by diarrhea and/or vomiting. Diabetes, Thyroid Disease, are also known for causing nausea.
Although the CCFA ( Crohnâs Colitis Foundation of America) does not label chronic nausea as one the symptoms of CD, it is name as one of the main symptoms on many of the online health sources . Add the reality that a person that has CD, and the reality that other factors that they might have in connection with this disease, such as GERDS, IBS, and Gastroparesis, obstructions, chronic inflammation, diarrhea constipation, bleeding, and a wide varity of other contributing factors treating chronic nausea came be very complicated.
Unexplained chronic nausea and other dyspepsia symptoms affect about 25 percent of the general population. The cause may be neuromuscular disorders of the stomach.
Neuromuscular disorders affect the nerves that control your voluntary muscles. Voluntary muscles are the ones you can control, like in your arms and legs. Your nerve cells, also called neurons, send the messages that control these muscles. When the neurons become unhealthy or die, communication between your nervous system and muscles breaks down. As a result, your muscles weaken and waste away. The weakness can lead to twitching, cramps, aches and pains, and joint and movement problems. Sometimes it also effects the muscles of you stomach, causing them to malfunction.
Personally, I have battled Chronic nauseas since I was 26 years old. I have one of the rarest form of CD. Gastroduodenal Crohnâs disease ( CD of the stomach and upper GI) As a result, the CD damaged the vegus nerve and I developed Gastroparesis ( half my stomach is paralyzed) It has also effected my esophagus so I have problems swallowing.
I also have several other issues that are related to my stomach inability to deal with food effectively that causes nausea. Medication prescribed by doctors has been ineffective, because my nausea is considered caused by Neuromuscular disorders.
Have I learned to deal with it effective. NO! I simple learned that there are certain things I can personally do to help myself deal with the chronic nauseas. I eat as natural as I can, staying away from preservative, and dyes. I know personally which foods cause me the most problems and no longer temp my stomach with something it can not handle, like soda pop. I drink ginger tea when I have gas, and suck on peppermint candy when I am nauseous in between meals. I watch my blood sugar closely, even though I am not a diabetic, in order to make sure that my blood sugar does not drop. Which experience has showed me can not only lead to nausea, but sudden fatigue and the shakesâ¦.
