Does anyone out there with severe symptoms able to hold down a job? I am half way through my graduate studies and realized I am in the wrong field for someone with all my hand problems. I have never imagined myself doing anything else and I'm having trouble finding jobs with flexible schedules or that would let me work from home. Any suggestions?

I had a really good employer would stood my me and I continued to work until I felt like I could no longer do the job. I am now on SSDI.

Would your employer modify your job in some way to make it easier for you to do your job? What type of work do you do?

I am scared as all get out about employment... I have been a graphic designer for years, but now with EDS, I am coming apart at the seems at 35. My back is a total mess with arthritis, spondylolisthesis, and degeneration. Now I have added my RIGHT shoulder, which makes using the computer for drawing & precise work nearly impossible. I am just making it through the day at the one part time job I have left & I doubt I could get disability, I hear it takes so long & I have 2 teenagers to feed.

I am very worried.
