Writing a book on MERLD

0 Recommendations

I am looking for testimonials for my book on living with MERLD. Two of my children have been diagnosed with it. I've been looking for ways to make the activities of daily living better for them and the rest of my family. I came upon this site and can't believe how little there is out there. Please contact me via the messages if you are interested and we can go from there.

Thank you very much.

hello,
my name is barbara and i live in south carolina. My daughter was diagnosed when she was 4 years old in preschool. She is now 6 and just started the 1st grade. i would love to talk to u,your right theres not much at all on this disorder and i too have been looking for other moms out there that can relate to what i am going through with our zoey.

Hi Barbara, if you want to contact me off list, feel free to do so. I listed my email in my profile, but I don't know who can see it. Let me know if you need it.

I think MERLD is tough for anyone else to understand unless they have gone through living with a child who has it. I hope that my book helps all of us and those who don't understand what the children are going through with it.

What just tears my soul is when my son hits himself on the head and says that his brain isn't good, it's all scrambled. I have to tell him no, that his brain is perfect, that he just has a different way of learning and expressing himself to others. Not wrong, just different. But he gets so frustrated. My daughter doesn't know anything about it yet and we haven't told my son. That's one of our greatest dilemmas. When do you tell your children that they have this disorder? It just really hurts my heart sometimes.

You're not along, Barbara. Hang in there.

If you'd like to keep our chat on list that is fine too. Maybe someone else will also respond. This forum seems kind of slow, but maybe we can give it some go with our conversation.

Take care...Cie
