I know many people want to participate in clinical trials for whatever reason, but the task of finding the appropriate trials can be difficult. There are a variety of search engines/listing services that can help you find a trial.
The first I would recommend is SearchClinicalTrials.org. This search engine pulls from many different sources (including CenterWatch, ClinicalTrials.gov and many others) to compile a great list of available trials.
Another good site is ClinicalTrials.gov. It is a registry of federally and privately supported clinical trials conducted in the United States and around the world. It provides very detailed information on the individual trials as well as up to date contact information for the particular site.
DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED WITH YOUR SEARCH! Be persistent, check these sites daily as new trials are posted all of the time.
Educate yourself! Contact The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation for a FREE educational brochure BEFORE you participate or during your search for a trial. Their website is www.CISCRP.org, email them directly at info@ciscrp.org, or call 1-877-MEDHERO.
