I'm an RN that got hurt and my health went to pot!

This is my first time on this site to recored any info and I hope I do it right! I'm still in the learning stages of the computers and what I can and can't do which is keep my fingers on the right keys b/c it's been awhile since I/ve typed very much. I got hurt while working as a psych RN on 3/30/98 and again in 12/08! I had a surgery in 4/98 and then a high tibial osteotomy on 8/15/99 and I haven't worked since. I've now had a total of 7 surgeries on my R knee and now it's fused w/ a rod after I developed a staph infection in 7/03 and for 4 months I had to lay flat on my back w/o any knee or anything in my right leg! I couldn't even move a pinkie toe! Now I've had a rod that's fused in my leg since 11/03 and its 3" shorter than my left leg and doesn't bend! Now my left knee is worn out from supporting me all these yrs and I'm having a total knee replacement on Oct 21st! I've had to wait a couple of yrs b/c Indian Health said they couldn't afford it and finally after almost 4 yrs my disability is coming in so I have Medicare for medical and hospital! Yeah it took them long enough and I have chronic pain b/c my whole body's out of sync! This is just about my legs I'll tell u how my health went to pot and even had ovarian cancer in 2001!
