7 weeks corrected

Yesterday Everest was 7 weeks corrected age, and Tuesday he was home for 6 weeks. We had him evaluated by EI on Monday, and he qualified for therapy. We chose to do therapy twice a month at this point and we can add more if we feel or the therapist feels he needs more. He will have an OT for now, and then if there were to be muscle issues later on we can at a PT.
The therapist who was here for his evaluation noticed he "favors" his right side. He lays his head to the right side, and we try to get him to go to the left but hes pretty strong and set on being to the right! She said he pulls his left arm accross his body to the right side rather than being "midline" which is how they learn best. So we got some pointers on how to get him to go to midline. She was impressed with his head control.
So anyhow, This morning I had Everest on the couch and we were just playing around, basically me being a goof, and I FINALLY got a smile out of him! It was short lived, but still it was a SMILE! He had a grin, then stuck his tounge out and another small grin. That was it but I was so happy! :-D He had no idea what he did haha.
We have an appointment next week with his neurosurgeon just a check up, and they may be schedueling an MRI we arent quite sure. and then Oct 2nd he has is 4 month check up with the pedi.
