A lot has happened since we last posted. Current Up date from NIH isn't going to be clear cut and to the point. All it say's that my daughter Ashley case is more complex then they thought! Yesterday July 3 we took Ash to our local medical genetics for Biopsy that NIH requested in order to confirm there findings on the last round of DNA-PCR testing as it stands that my daughter has a very small deletion in SMS region on chromosome 17 and two different duplications on two different chromosome. They are hoping that this will be the last step of SMS research in order to confirm and give a diagnoses for our daughter. Anyways on happier note Ashley did very well at Provincial summer games in June 26-28. Ash earned 4 golds and 1 Bronze Ashley was the youngest competitor and she shocked every one. even me.:) Even the other teams coaches where commenting on Ashley performance and how well she did once we mentioned that Ashley was our daughter they where shocked!
