Surgery went well,if you discount my almost full blown panic attack during the prep. Someone had asked before what type of surgery, it was replacement. My battery was dying. Had a good life though, 5 1/2 years.

I spent Thursday night in the hospital, and got to come home yesterday. My doc says the only reason she keeps you overnight is to make sure you get the full regimen of antiobiotics, and there's not going to be any trouble of any kind.

Oh the near panic attack....I was on the table and they were prepping me, talking to me and each other and just any normal for them I guess. At any rate, when they started to tie me down, I started getting antsy. One of the technicians was showing a new one how my doctor like her patients restrained, and I was trying, trying, TRYING not to get upset, they had already started the "go to sleep drug" but I guess not full force, lol. When they finished both arms, and started the drape, it fell over my face, and I gasped and tears started flowing. My whole body was shaking too. The drug doc, says "Oh honey, it's ok, see we're getting it out of your face right now" as she was gently brushing my hair off my head.....that's all I remember. :-) Just in time. HA!

But all went well, I'm feeling much better today, sore, and still sort of dealing with drug after effects.

Glad to be home!
