Virus-caused Arrythmia

0 Recommendations

New diagnosis from cardiologist 3 months out from initial cardiac arrest/defibrillator rescue = virus caused the damage to left bundle branch, which led to incorrect firing to left ventricle, which led to sudden arrhythmia and cardiac arrest.

Anyone else have this diagnosis?

Arrhythmia Heart failure

I had scd due to arrythmia. I now have an ICD. My arrythmia and heart failure was caused by a virus.

Thanks, brenm. My husband's cardiologist made that diagnosis because it was the only other possible reason, he said.

His ICD has never gone off and it paces his heart now because of the left bundle branch block. Six months later, his ejection fraction is only back to 40-45 (it was 20!)
