Well, Brooke went to see the pediatric cardiologist today and she felt that she does not have LQT. Her opinion was that Brooke's sodium is slightly low, still in the normal range but on the low side and this is causing her to be able to maintain her fluids. She recommended we increase her fluid intake to 96 ounces per day and increase her intake of salty snacks. She wrote a note for the school to allow Brooke to have a bottle with either water or Gatorade with her during class.

She recommends we give it two weeks and see if her symptoms improve, if not we are to call back to schedule a stress test so she can see what her heart is doing during exercise.

So that is the verdict and I am relieved. I pray that increasing the fluids will do the trick for her!
