Telling friends about your heart condition

0 Recommendations

The C.A.R.E. Foundation has been getting some requests for help to learn a good way for kids and teens to tell their friends about their heart condition. No one wants to freak out their friends and cause them to worry or even to loose them. Can any of you offer some suggestions? Parents please jump in also. Thank you.

hey i got really close to my friends so when i told them they didn't freak out...you just have to insure them that nothing bad will happen as long as you are careful...one of the things that my friends used to do that i told them i wouldn't like them doing is sneaking up behind me and scaring me...but for long QT that could set it off and my friends care about me so they listened and quit scaring me...i also told them that if they had any questions i had websites they could go on or they could ask my doctor...it's just in the way you put your words and all the information you have.
