I also forgot to add that since I have returned to the gym I am watching my Vitamin D intake. Most vitamins have 400 iu of vitamin d in them already and then I drink milk throughout the day like crazy, plus protein shakes, sometimes mixed with water and others mixed with milk. Eggs and other food carry small amounts also.........basically somedays I am taking in 1800-2000 iu of vitamin d or more. They suggest that these high doses can cause irregular heart rhythms and you should only take in no more than 1000 iu. I have slowed down on this along with my metal detox and I still am doing well. I also cut out Ginko Biloba which has been rumored to have ill effects after long term use and or high doses. My return visit to the Doc will be in a few weeks. I then want him to test my vitamin D levels and also my adrenaline levels and thyroid hormone levels. I know that sometimes these too can effect heart rhythnms. We will see what he says and I will update my profile. Best of luck to all of you.

Dave, are you still feeling well? What kind of readings have you received from your monitor?

Yes I am thanks. I am taking all of my vitamin d in again, but I did change something else. My multivitamin (Centrum) has 100% rda of iodine plus my protein shakes that I consume while exercising has 50% rda of iodine in one scoop. I have 2 scoops after exercise and then 2 more at night. (You need alot of protein intake when trying to put on muscle), anyway those plus alot of milk, eggs, fish, cottage cheese etc. Alot of food high in protein. But my point is that I am taking in almost 300% of the rda for iodine. This can directly effect your heart rythms via your thyroid. I will run this by my Dr. when I go to see him next week. I am feeling great and no longer see my heart rate above 175 when exercising hard. Thanks for asking. Oh and my monitor is o.k., nothing bad.
