I'm a 36 yo female and have experienced these crazy symptoms since I was a teen but no one has ever taken interest to find out why I am be experiencing them. My symptoms ALWAYS happen in the morning....how wierd is that! More often than not I would experience these feelings after a shower and a lot of times as I had my arms above my head drying my hair, I just thought it had sonething to do with being over heated. I can only remember having these episodes about 3-6 times a year but it wasn't until maybe 2 years ago that the girls in my work place convienced me to go to a heart dr..I did and was placed on a monitor and it did'nt take long before I had a spell. The doc told me something about the blood not flowing thru all 4 chambers and he suggested I could have a catheter put in but he didn't think I really needed it because my spells wereonly happening every other month or less. I guess I'll just deal with it I guess. Recently my right ankle went numb for about 4 days when I got on teh net and was looking for reason this could be happening....did'nt find anything but thru one of those sites I found something on LQTS and I was extatic that I finally had a name for what I was going thru. Out of the 3, I matched type 3 the closest. I don't know anyone with this and I'm still so confused about the whole disease. My mom commited suicide when I was 3 and both her parents have passed so when it comes to genetic testing I may be at a lose. I to have battled depression since my early twenties and amnow taking Lamictal for some kinda personality disorder and panic attacks but now I'm wondering if it's panic attacks at all. I also have another curve ball to throw in, I am a professional cake decorator and about 4 years ago I suddenly forgot how to make a cake, I was constantly putting in the wrong amounts of water, omitting oil or something crazy. I also still suffer from memory lose, short and long term. Everybody just says that comes with age but I seriously think there's something underlying. My question is do you think I could have suffered a mini stroke or something. One more thing my blood presure has always been low like 86/60 or something so I've been told beta blocker would probly not be a good suggestion for me. I guess I really just need someone to talk to who has suffered the same thing.....please give input! God bless each and everyone of you:)

I thought my families world was falling apart about 3 years ago my oldest brother then 40 died of malinoma rain cancer after an 8 month fight, at that time I was 38 I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 then low and be hold last May my 15 year old neice started passing out for no reason and the doctors didn't know why well she is now living with a defibulator and my family found out that at least 5 of us has LQTS but we have not been told which one, It is still scary but now I know what I have I also have been diagnosed with LQTS after 20 years of symptons and being told by doctors nothing was wrong I also have alphthesema a rare red blood cell disorder among other health problems and I also almost lost my life at 3 years old in a house fire so keep your head up its a hard fight but if I can do it so can you. I believe in guardian angels and I give mine a hard job daily.

Thank you so much Marie, your message touched my heart and I really appreciate it. I believe God is the greatest phycisian of all and I ask all who can to help me pray that God will give our Doctor's the knowledge and strength to help each one of us find a cure or atleast a diagnosis. I'll never give up, I just want to be able to let my loved one's have an answer in the event of sudden death....

Walking on a "Tight Roap",all you life is not easy at all.
We need a tool that will enable an individual to have his own E.C.G. exactly in a time of need.
This is the time that you have strange feelings,and you don't know if it is the Heart,or "all in your mind".
Some tools are already in existence.Unfortunately
the present tools are either non specific or too expensive.For these 2 reasons we do not have these tools available to everybody(Mass screening).
I have been working on such idea and tool.

Hi, Miss720 Cake Maker/Decorator!
I am praying that someone who can guide you will see this. In the meantime, keep up the good fight. You have shown amazing strength in just keeping going and doing your own research. I have had to do that with my feeding tube and trach... and they certainly aren't unheard of. But medical interest is sometime elusive. Thank goodness we all have each other!
