Just out of hospital two weeks in a row, making it three admits in 7 weeks.
May v-fib 315 bpm, icd saved me, admitted for 3 days.
Late June went to Hospital for respiratory testing, heart rate dropped to 32 bpm, paced at 40. Was in a-fib. pacing raised to 60, my diltiazem was removed but they added lipitor and plavix; sent home on Friday, July 3. Pacer on ICD saved me.
On July 7 started with virus, saw doc given antibiotic. Started nebulizer treatments for asthma. By Wed, sick as a dog, achey, hurting, shortness of breath. That evening told other half I needed to go to the ER, moments later ICD Fired, 7 minutes later as he was helping me to the vehicle, it fired again and I collapsed to the ground in the driveway. Good thing he was there to ease my fall. I came to quickly and he called 911 since I didnt want to take chance with ICD again. This was the first time it had fired twice in a row and I was hurting. Apparently I had 7 events in those 7 minutes with heart rates from 274 to 320.
They gave me lovenox with each admission and for the first time, it's like one of the bruises just exploded and blood was everywhere. It slowed to a trickle and I bandaged to contain the blood. I am also on massive doses of steroids because all the asthma meds made my heart rate go up. I'm on oxygen 24/7 at least until I can get the asthma under control. On top of this, my 70 year old mother is getting married today out of state. I was to be in the wedding and I am missing that because of all my hospital admissions.
Maybe I just need a pity-party.
Please share any info on any of these subjects as I am lonely tired and scared.
