I have been dealing with cardiomyopathy as it relates to tachycardia and my icd for 3 years. In May I have a tachy episode 315 bpm, defibrillator saved me. Since then I felt awful. Even less energy than normal, shortness of breath increased and dizziness increased. Went to hospital for walking O2 test and they stopped the test and took me to ER. Heart was pacing at 40 bpm. In ER defibrillator rep turned off icd and found heart rate at 32. They increased pacing to 60. Was in the hospital for 4 days with heart pacing 90% of time at 60. Now doc added lipitor and plavix. She didn't want to add coumadin because i tend to collapse each time my defibrillator goes off and she didnt want to cause a bleeding issue. I actually feel better but now concerned as to how to manage 315 one minute and 32 the next. Any stories or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Karen
