Insurance Issue

0 Recommendations

My son had all of his NB treatment at CHOP and is still being followed by CHOP (he is less than 2 years post-transplant) and we just found out that our insurance is dropping CHOP as an in-network provider.

I called one of our local senators and he suggested that we get as many people
as we can to call their local reps and complain.

Here is a link to the CHOP website that explains what is going on.

Any suggestions to mobilize the NB community to get help for our kids and these
families would be greatly appreciated.

Tonysmom,

I'm so sorry this is happening to all of you. You shouldn't have to worry about this on top of your childs treatment.
I do not have that same insurance, this is horrible for all those who do! Before my son was diagnosed I worked in a pharmacy in Delaware and most of the insurance was from that company. Does it effect all childerns hospitals? I know AI Dupont in Wilmington is and hour father to drive but if it doesn't work out at least you'd have some where to go. It a great hospital and my son is finishing up treatment there, I can ask if this will effect them too If you'd like.
If I can do anything else please let me know.
Shauna
