Thymus Cancer

Does anyone know about Thymus Cancer? My mom was recently diagnosed with this after finishing chemo for Follicular Lymphoma. She actually graduated from 6 months of chemo for the Lymphoma and three weeks later she started having swelling on her neck and arm(left side). When she's up walking around she feels light headed and sometimes feels like she wants to pass out. She doesn't do much and actually likes to sleep a lot . I was wondering if anyone had any information on this type of cancer and what I could possibly do with her so she doesn't feel so tired all the time. Any Advise would be appreciated. Thank You so much!!!

Dear Ezradupree, I'm sorry we must meet here and for the reasons you noted. I'm so sorry for your family. There is much hope and many stories of long term survival that will hopefully lift your spirits. Also, your mom is truly blessed to have you with her as you both navigate this difficult path.

I'm so sorry that you've not gotten responses yet. The folks at Inspire are generally quick to offer helpful information on a given topic. Is there a group for Thymus Cancer on Inspire or another group of endocrine related cancers? I only have experience with lung cancer and am stage 3B in remission for 8 months. I trust you've sought information on the web if you have access to a computer. Perhaps you can explore to see what additional Inspire groups you might post to. Let me know how it's going. It did seem from my search that you could at least get some info from this link, although you should be able to get ample input from your mother's oncologist? I certainly hope so!!

Please let me know if you find a helpful Inspire group. We mom's worry!

Wishing you and your mom all the best in getting her better a.s.a.p.
