Radiation damage to the throat

In 1999, I had treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Clinic for throat cancer, Three years ago, I began to have aspiration problems due to radiation damage to my throat. My epiglottis was not working properly. Now I have been told I have to have a J tube. Anyone have any experience with this?
