Today my wonderful husband broke down in front of me. FINALLY! He has held everything in for so long I was afraid of him having a stroke or heart attack. We did get the news Mar 6 that I am in remission, no active "ingredients", just some brewing in the abdominal lymph node. Either way it was a great report and I guess he finally let me know he was afraid to hear I was going to die. I still cough that "cough".
I guess I want to let all of us cancer patients to make sure we remember that the hell we go through is within us, the hell our caregivers, wife, husband, child, etc... go through is also in us and they have no control over it. Remember to understand that they are going through a different hell. Remember to remind people that they too are "SURVIVORS" and that they need a "hello how are you today? " instead of how is ______?
I am saying THANK YOU! to all of you. I am asking, how are you today? and I am sayong, Thank God for you.
