Startled...chemo leaked out of the vein!!!

My mum´s got her 3rd chemo round last Thursday, cisplatinum and navelbine, on her day 1 when she was supposed to get her last infusion of navelbine at 6pm, it leaked out and damaged her lower arm (check this to see it the day after...http://mail06.centrum.sk/~~cook~mirkawaw/download.php?msg_id=00010000023d00 000e88012cbc4d&idx=3&filename=Fotografia002.jpg and yesterday it looked liked this...http://mail06.centrum.sk/~~cook~mirkawaw/download.php?msg_id=00010000023d00 000e88012cbc4d&idx=3&filename=Fotografia002.jpg ...mum´s in terrible pain...they ordered her to take navelbine in tablets, however, we ask for any help to treat it...we only got a cream to prevent blood clot...thank you for any help and advice from anyone having to face the similar circumstances...

My mother had lung ca and the iv fripped on her arm when the nurse removed the iv. The Dr game her soem silvadine cream (used on burns) to put on the site it did heal it but left an awful spot of a scar.

Dear Anita, mum´s got it iv, it leaked inside the surrounding tissues, so we aren´t facing the outside burns...but anyway thanks for your reply...I´m sorry now I see that the links for the pics don´t work and ask for password...
