Stage 3B

Has anyone been diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3b and didnt have chemo? I'm in a very hard position right now, doctors are telling me that I can have chemo, but they can't tell me that i'm def going to benefit from it due to the cancer being non-invasive....They are telling me thats its a very good chance that I will have a recurrence within 10 yrs, which i can wait and see or take the chance and do chemo now....Its a very hard decision for me to make, and i dont want to make the wrong one. Can someone please give me there experience and thoughts. Also, if anyone has a stage 3b, did you have a recurrence and when.

Thank you very much.

I have stage 3c ovarian cancer. I have had 3 different types of chemo since may 2006. My brother had colon cancer. He was operated on. The surgeon told him that he got all the cancer and he didn't need chemo. His regular doctor told him that he should still get chemo. My brother chose not to have chemo the cancer came back and he pass away. Chemo is rough, not as bad as I thought it would be. But I would choose to have the chemo if I had to make the choice.. Hope this helps
