0 Recommendations

I know pancreatic cancer is a swift desease with only 2% of people that live a year or more after the wipple procedure. We are blessed to be in that precentage. Does anyone here have this or caring for one that does? Im looking for information of whats to come. Chemo three times a day for a year is starting to take its tole. I know everyone is diffrent but from the post I read ppl with common deseases seem to be going through alot of the same things. His has came back in his lungs, will he have things in common with lung Cancer patients? Thanks in advance

Hi Christyanne,
I just writting to say hello. You two have been through a lot, and it is an inspiration to.me that you still feel blessed and positive. I'm sure that you two will manuever through this challenging time as well.
I'm sending love your way, Nan

Could you please explain what the wipple procedure is? Sorry to bring this up.

The wipple procedure is removal of the pancrious or part of it, 1/2 of the intestions, 1/2 of the bowl, and removal of the gaulbladder. all of these organs meet so they take as much as they can in hopes to get all the cancer cells.
Dont worry about bringing this up Dave had this 3 years ago, most patients arnt even canidates for this operation, I thank God he was.

All is good in our world. Dave went back for a scan last week and it is holding its on. No new growth. Im so excited. If chemo wasnt such a downer, it would be like nothing ever happined. Life is good. We are so blessed to not have many side effects. Hope all is well with Bob. Yall are in our prayers.
Thanks
christy
