OK so now I am 1 year out of the mastectomy almost a year after the end of chemo. I am taking Arimadex and there are some side effects.
i have incredible pain in my hands, either from chemo or a combination of that and the arimidex. some days i ache all over, other days i feel fine.
i have gained some weight, about 10 lbs. this is a known side effect.
i watch what i eat and i try to move and stay busy but i can not say that i exercise alot. the winter we have had was really bad and walking out side was just not too doable.
i am worried about the side effects like bone loss, heart problems form the lack of estrogen, higher cholestrol and blood pressure.... I have always been fine in all these areas but now taking this medication after what chemo did to my body i may lick the cancer but break a hip or wrist have a heart attack or stroke because of the meds!!!!!!!
has any one else felt this way is any one 5 years out of Arimidex and doing well.please let me know haw you are doing
thanks
sue
