Lymphedema

0 Recommendations

I have had non small cell cancer twice in the right lung; almost six years apart, the second was a new cancer. Twice I had parts of the right lung removed and both times lymph nodes were removed for testing. Last surgery was 4/14/09. Since them, I have a swelling in the area of the right ribs. I have had an abdominal ultrasound and a CT of the chest and abdomin with IV and oral contrast. Neither test showed anything significant. My internist thought I had a gall bladder problem and sent me to a surgeon who said I had inflamed ribs and suggested heat and an NSAID. Pain is infrequent and not severe. Skin in the area is sensitive. I recently heard on NBC news about lymphedema and started researching. This may be what I have. How do I locate a doctor to diagnose my case????????? I live near Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA.
