Looking for help & Support

My father-in-law has just been diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic IV cancer. He is due to have more tests to see how far it has really spread in the coming week. I strongly feel lost on how to help and support my extended family who have already lost their mother to breast cancer when they were only children. My father-in-law seems as though he wants to give up and continually discusses to be buried overseas in his homeland, instead of how his treatment will be handled. I know just being there is showing support, but I feel that I could be doing more.
I have been glued to the internet reading everything I can find on his diagnosis since being told, I refuse to believe there is nothing that anyone can do, but am unfamiliar with positive treatments. Some have said to try trial clinics, but where do I start to look?
Can anyone give me any advice and knowledge of trial clinics and what other treatments maybe available, other than the standard. Please if you are a survivor I would love to hear what you may recommend. PLEASE HELP!

try pancreatica.org for lots of good info. But don't count on finding a lot of positive news. There is info on there on staging, treatment and clinical trials. My dad was dx in Jan. Had splenectomy/partial pancreatectomy in Feb. (Not as extreme as whipple) Then had chemo, then radiation and chemo, then more chemo. That bought him about 2 or 3 months of feeling good. Then pain came back. Now has recurrence. Was advised 3-4 months without treatment, 8-12 possibly with treatment. Starting chemo again on Wednesday.
Good luck to you.
