Jaw popping constantly

0 Recommendations

I hope this one isn't too strange but for the past 2-3 months, my jaw has been locking up. I can barely open it sometimes and when I do, it loudly pops for awhile. I don't know if this could have something to do with neuropathy or lymph nodes or what. I just wanted to know if there is anyone else out there who has had this type of problem. When I check it out online, I haven't had much success. Thanks so much ladies.

My daughter has the same problem. Her jaw growth is uneven, meaning the two sides have different lengths. She has not yet reached her mature jaw, as she is 18.
The oral surgeon said she may be a canidate for jaw surgery in the future. Her jaw keeps coming out of place and causes her a lot of discomfort. It also clicks loudly.
It sounds like you may have a socket problem. Might warrant some x-rays.
hope this helps.

Have you talked to your dentist about TMJ? It is essentially where your cartilage in your jaw does not stay in place. I hope this helps! Good luck!
Debbie
