Cancer Surgery Chemotherapy

Today my mom was staged with the same NSCLC IIIA. We are going to proceed with surgery if the pulmonary function test prove possible. What is the status of your cancer?

Thank you.

My mum had her left lung removed completely and 2 of her mediastinal lymph nodes, underwent 3 cycles of chemotherapy out of 4 because during the 3 cycle the chemotherapy leaked out her damaged veins, so the 3 cycle was left unfinished, then she proceeded with 25 radiations finished by June and now she´s waiting for her PET scan to be done in October. She lost 10 kg (68 - 58kg), now regained 5kg back. We started with a diet excluding sugar totally in the beginning due to several discussions down here, however, now she eats what she likes because if she gets weaker due to eating healthily, she wouldn´t be able to continue any other treatment involving chemo or so...We were absolutely startled in the beginning reading all the info concerning lung carcinoma, however, all you need is just to trust in her, support her, believe in miracles and leave it to God...she will make it, I´m sure, there are several guys down here who live above 5 and even 10 years without any signs of regression...we will keep you, your family and your mum in our daily prayers just as we do with all the people fighting with cancer. Take care and God bless you.
