Am I just freaking out ordoI need to worry?

I had 2/3 of my rightlung removed Sept. 26,2008. They removed all cancer and the did chemo just to be sure. My last chemo was Dec. 30,2008 Other than the fact that I get out of breath quickly I have been doing good until the last month or so. I have hot flashes and night sweats caused by the chemo inducing menopause, but I have also had terrible headaches, EVERYDAY. My husband says I am a hypocondriac but he also said I didn't have cancer when I was coughing blood. I don't know if the headaches are stress or something else.

you need a new husband. His job is to be supportive, not nasty. You did have maajor surgery for a major illness

First, smack the hubby, second go see a doctor.

You're stressing yourself and giving yourself more of a headache worrying.

Had I not been a "hypocondriac" I would not be a survivor today!

One other thing, my ex-hubby was the type that said it was all in my head. Now you know why he's my ex! Scott my man of 4 years, has stood by me through it all and has even encouraged me to see a doctor when I'm not sure about some new nagging pain. You need support from your loved ones, not ridicule to make you feel worse!

your body is a barometer of how you feel. where there's pain is a signal something is potentially wrong. i believe it's always better to error on the side of caution and when something alarming bubbles to the surface get it checked out. (we) us **cancer** patients don't have the luxury of ignoring even a minor cut and or the common cold. sometimes something minimal could equal our demise. please go get checked and i'm praying for you that it's nothing at all and you continue your path of getting well.

Thank You. I have an appointment with my oncologist on Monday.

Listen to yourself and nobody else. Good luck on Monday, you're doing the right thing.
God Bless.

I don't know what your husband was like before you got sick, but I've noticed that when men get scared, they tend to act like jerks. They also don't take hints very well. You have to tell them EXACTLY what you need. If that doesn't work, seek emotional support from your girlfriends. Suppressed anger can cause horrible headaches. I'm hoping it's that and not something worse. Good luck; I'll be praying for you.

Praying that the onc visit helps. Huggs, Karen

My oncologist visit was great. Everything is fine. Thanks everyone.
