Sjogren's/Lupus

0 Recommendations

I got the diagnosis of systemic lupus along with the Sjogren's. Wasn't thrilled to have it; but, wasn't surprised either.
Some days up, some days down. The quinine has really been knocking me down. I was afraid that it was interacting with my seizure meds in a negative way. Advil will make my Lamictal go into a toxic range. However, the pharmacist said that being bone tired and sleepy was common at first and will get back to normal after on it for a while.
I got the gumption up to bite the bullet and use the Restatsis for my eyes. It does well; however, both it and the Quinine have $50 co-pays -- my Rx co-pays were already $100.00 for my seizure/thyroid/fluid/blood pressure meds! I know I have to keep up with the quinine but I think that I'm going to have to quit the eye drops and go back to using eye drops, one is more like a gel and it seems to work pretty well for me.
Other than that, not too terribly bad. I'm going to test my joints today with some walking and see how far we go! Summer's here now and I have to get ready for that bikini (yeah, right!!)...anyone see me in one now would need therapy!
Blessings to all!
