WHEN INSPIRED BY SOMEONE, LET THEM KNOW

6 Recommendations

Every time I write a journal or discussion and someone commends my essay, I feel an incredible sense of pride that maybe I've helped or touched someone.

I've read many well written and informative articles, that I had to search out, as no one acknowledged or complimented the author with a click of the mouse by adding a check mark and thereby recommending the journal or discussion for the rest of us.

When I first became a member, I obtained more information from this community than all of my medical professionals combined. I was in shock after the surgery and my diagnosis.

I meandered through the site looking for something, anything that would help me to understand this disease. Back then, I knew nothing about check marks. I was like a vulture consuming every one's information and experiences. I soaked up all the material and never responded in any way to any one.

I write now because I want to help. I've lived through the nightmare of having sarcoidosis and not even knowing what it was. I'm generous with my approval ratings, because so many of these essays are in reality, well written diaries of the disease.

People who are ill, are sharing their lives with us, and along the way are offering good, sound advice, based on their having lived it. If that doesn't inspire us to make some attempt to signify our approval and our gratitude, what will?

Replies are nice to receive, but if the story touched or helped you, add your check mark along with your reply. This also brings the journal or discussion to the attention of others.

Simply put your mouse on the recommend at the top right side of every journal and discussion and click on the word recommend.

Endorsing our members' well written compositions are kudos for doling out Sarcoidosis information.
