I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in January and had my TURB at the end of that month. I had Stage 1 Grade 3 "superficial " cancer and my doctor recommended 12 BCG + interferon treatments which I began in February. I tolerated the treatments fairly well. I had some white blood cells in my urine on 3 occasions and experienced pain and very frequent urination on those times. Monday was the BIG DAY when I was scoped to find out how the treatments worked. Good News!! I am cancer free but know that this cancer is very likely to return. I will not miss my 3 month appointments.
I haven't done much posting because I felt so inexperienced but I have learned from everyone. I was amazed at how calm I was in the doctor's office because of you. Even if the doctor had found some new spots, I knew I would survive. I will be trying to do everything I can to remain cancer free following the advice of people on this site and others. I am following a much healthier diet than in the past and taking supplements like melatonin, mushrooms, Vitamin D, and probiotics.
Thanks everyone,
Balihigh
