"Life Changes and We Change To Adjust To It"

I have been missing from here for a while with not much to say; because of some issues here on the forum and because I have had some news I didn't want to hear ( as I know many of you have had the same news either recently or in the past) but I have been coming to grips with it. Some of you know; those who know me well.... but not everyone so here goes:

Since my last Cysto, Sept 22 and the Fish Test returned positive so we went to the Turb in Oct. Well the biopsies turned out positive for the return of the Invasive Cancer, High Grade but "not" into the Bladder Wall. Many of you know that the BCG caused me to go into liver failure in Jan 09 so I can no longer have any more... so the ultimate is in front of me.. Bladder Removal with Ileal conduit has been scheduled for around Dec. 15th..My apt. with Dr. Cheryl Lee today went well and she will do my surgery at University of Michigan Hospital.
We have issues with the radiation done for Ovarian Cancer many years ago but she said she will do the best with what she finds when she sees what she has to work with.. So unto the future with a new me.. I will adjust as all of my buddies have here and look forward to the "New Year as a New Me". This Christmas may not be with my family but I sure look forward to spending Christmas 2010 with "them" and being healthier to .....
Thanks for listening..It sure helps to have my friends here...
Arlene
