chemo for Bob

0 Recommendations

went to doctor today. He dicussed with Bob doing the chemo because some cells in fatty layer. He explained it was an insurance policy. He said Bob could be in the group that needs nothing and this will just make him sick. Or he could be in the other group that could benefit from it. He said studies say it reduces the reacurrence by quite a bit, enough to take the risk. We don't know what is going to happen, but Bob chose to go thru with it. Our uroligist recommended 2 rounds, but he said the oncoligist may decide on more. But the study he used as reference said the drop in reacurrence after two was very good. Doctor actually in good humor today. He said the good news that it wasn't in nodes means it is not on the 408 highway going thru bobs body. So hopefully this will work. The doctor said there is no way to know where it is at this time because it is so small and no scan or blood test can pick anything up. So why wait til you can see it. He convinced Bob. I said nothing, buyt my daughter Lynda had plenty to say. Thanks for caring, its been quite a journey so far. Joycee
