Cataract surgery!

0 Recommendations

Today I had the dreaded cataract surgery. It was just something about having surgery in my eye that was very unfomorting to me. I even aksed the opthalmologist to not go into detail when describing the surgery at my preop visit.
I laso had some upset about having cataract at the young age of 42, as a matter of fact I almost got a little insulted when I read my preop diagnosis "senile cataract"...what was the doc talking about ..senile..me...I still sometimes live in my own reallity where I still am 29.
The surgery went really well and I was so surprised of how easy it was. One of fears was that I would see everything that he would do but that was not the case at all. The best news was ,when my husband drove me home while wearing a pair of very unfashionable sunglasses, (let me just say that I didn't look like Greta Garbo) that I could just see all the trees so clearly that we drove by. It was incredible I could see the details of the leaves and the little tree branches. It must have been a long time since the world from a distance occurred like that for me.

I am again very grateful!
