Cysto went well, however learned I should have been having regular IVP's so that is now scheduled for the 20th. thanks

Were thinking about EVERYONE,not just surgery but also treatments tests etc.....

Good luck,,,,
let us know how it goes.

Hi Everyone especially Honcho2 I had a csyto on Oct. 6 and was diagnosis on the 12th with signet ring cell carcinoma of the bladder stage t2 at USC Norris Cancer Hospital, it is a rare disease with less than 100 cases reported world wide , the prognosisi is said to be poor, there is no chemo or radiation for this kind of cancer. Preliminary tests are review the body for primary orgin, mets, bone scan, chest xray, medical history, treatment for bladder being the primary site is removal of the bladder, uterus, and ovary, leaving a orvary if well for estrogen, I also have multiple sclerosis, lupus, and diabeties. I had a bypass in april to loose weiiight and now weigh about 230 from 361. I am waiting for my bone scan and will have surgery in about a week. I just want to say God is not the author of sickness and he is able to heal, sustain us, and give us courage for what ever we have to face, life happens, it is in the attitude of which we deal with it that determines a lot of the outcome, watch funny movies, stay away from people trying to bury you already, forgive others, and travel light. Much love!

Ginger,

I love your calendars. I use them to remind me who needs special prayer this week/ day, etc. I don't know if anyone else is like this, but on the day someone is having RC surgery, and important scope or treatment; I periodically think of them and send a prayer up no matter what I am doing.

To all those who will have procedures in the next two weeks, good karma and prayers will be coming your way.

Lynda

I had my TURB on Thursday of this week. All went well. I am really happy with my new urologist. He wants me back in 2 months instead of 3 so I'll see him just before Christmas for a cysto. If there is a recurrence it should be small enough he can zap it right then and there during cysto. Ouchy!

Good luck to everyone.

Lady Jane,

Glad all went well. Sorry you are going back around Christmas. My next one is Dec. 30. What a day to have a cysto. My doc usually does TURB or whatever the very next day---Happy New Year, huh? But for you now, all clear is our favorite word.

Lynda

Oh ya, Dec. 30 is not the best of days to be followed by the 31st. Don't docs take NYE off? They should.

I expect to have my next cysto right around my bday if not that day. Hows that for a present. LOL But hey, I might get an all clear for the first time and that would be a GREAT birthday present.

Ginger,

I am still having chemo, started my third round this past Friday, will have Gemzar next Friday the 23rd. I will have a week off then will have a fourth round. Thanks for keeping up with everybody.

Lynn

Lady Jane,

One of the best bd presents I can think of!

Lynda

Well, I'm with you all - good news for me too. After a week of blood tests, X-rays, CAT scan, bone scan, ECG, etc etc - no cancer! That's my 1 yr post-RC and 6 month post-chemo.

I've had bad back pain since the chemo, assumed it was all arthritis, but the bone scan showed a compression fracture. So now I have to wait to see what to do about that.

And tomorrow back to the hospital for that yukky repair surgery.

Nancy, glad the cysto went well.
Shawne, lucky lady, having a good-looking uro who also gave you a negative and a good follow-up schedule.
Lynn - hang in there with the chemo!
And all the best to the rest of you who are being "poked and prodded" as Cheyenne puts it.

Eileen

Yes Lynn, hang in there with the Chemo,,,,and a cysto for the Holidays for Lynda,,I agree, you think they would be somewhere else,,,,LIKE EUROPE,,,,,
AFTERALL ,jANUARY IS A CRAPPY MONTH,,,
good time for tests,,,,

Well Eileen that is great news that you got the all clear.
Sorry you still need surgery tomorrow, but I am sure everything will be fine.
All the best,
Jack

Eileen -

That is great news for you!!! My husband had his RC surgery on Oct. 7th....he is home now and doing good. We just pray he continues to heal and recover without any complications.

Best of luck to everyone having procedures this month....!

Stacey

Eileen,
Aren't you so glad its over,,,,,and he is home,,,,
take care of you too,,,,and hope things remain on a positive path to recovery......
Ginger

Thank You cheyenne, what a pretty name.My house church learned of the cancer today, I have noticed people act like you are contagious, anybody been through this, how didi you get past it, and if you want to talk all of a sudden they have to go...weird.

That was just a joke. I am fully aware of the hours doctors put into their practices. Just trying to be funny , not serious

He explained it would be like horsefly bites. I hate those suckers. I can slap then no problem, just don't want to slap Dr. S. is all. :-)

This is a great post. Lots of good news. Gets my Monday off to a good start.
Next Monday I will get the report from my last biopsy.
Good thoughts and prayers for all.

Memi

Oh ya. They can bite. And you have to be fast to kill them before they bite you!

Once I had killed so many that I put their dead bodies in a circle around my beach chair hoping to scare of their friends! Mwhahaha
How weird is that? LOL

I have to go to the ER when I get a horse fly bite,,,

had it 3 times,I swell up,,,,and itch,,,,

hate that!!!
