Diagnosed in Dec 2008 with stage 1 BC. Had 2 TUBRs followed by 6 BCG sessions. Since then, have been checked twice and no sign of BC. I'm keeping my figures crossed. Will consider BCG maintenance in Feb 2010. I guess I'm lucky.

YAY for you! You sure have done well. Congrats and keep fighting the fight.

Always great to hear great news.
I was dx with noninvasive low grade, have a 3 Turbts and 30 BCG treatments. I had 2 early recurrences.
Since my last Turbt I have had 6 weekly, and 12 monthly maintenance treatments. Been cancer free over 23 months now, in fact a clear Cysto yesterday.
I hope you are having check-ups every 3 months and you should consider the maintenance treatments and maybe take a look at getting a 2nd opinion which will help you in making that decision.
I wish you all the best,
Jack

Congrats on the "good news". I also had first TURBT in Sept. of 2008. No additional treatments but doing the cysto every 3 months and so far so good. Now going to every 4 months so next cysto is in December along with a complete CT scan. My Uro feels we should wait before considering BCG so I'm going along with his plan for now.
