Now i am sure some of you wil find this to be funny and someday I to hope to be able to laugh about this.
After my TURBT onthe 13th I was released to go home with a cathetor, and because of the distance back to Vanderbilt, we were instructed on how to remove the cathetor at home. On Friday my wife followed there instructions and removed the exact amount of sline sollution that we were told was in there hlding the cath in. well it wouldld not slide out, so she removed more sollution utill she had removed nearly twice as much as we were told would be in there, and then she began to pull. Well before I could yell "STOP" the cath popped out with a balloon slightly larger than a marble still in the line. I dont have to tell you that this was very painfull.
Next time I will goto the ER if I have to , because I will never attempt this at home again,
Ron
The whole reason I decided to share this with all of you was to hopefully change the mood around here a bit. Last few days I logged on you could cut the tension with with a spork. Hope this helped.
Me and my wife both learned a lot from this experience, the problem was that they told us there would only be 10 cc of saline in there. but there was actualy 20 cc. I am doing fine and every thing is still in place.
And have loved all the replies Thanks
Ron
